CHRISTMAS TREE SPECIES: White Spruce - Strong slender twigs hold ornaments well. Dense foliage & symmetrical proportions of spruce make it a very beautiful Christmas tree. The spruce needs lots of water & must be watered regularly to prevent it from losing needles. The needles are about 2 cm long & are dark green. They are stiff & slightly curved & give off a sharp pungent odour when crushed.
