FRAUD
This is a reminder to the public to be cautious when e-transferring money and when getting requests from friends/family or businesses
If you are sending money via e-transfer be diligent in checking the email address or phone number you are sending the money to is accurate to avoid losing money to unknown individuals. Also make a quick call to the person your sending money to so they know it is coming.
I have personally experienced this. The police have to many calls regarding this and will only give you a report number. Let the bank know right away.
