Dear Member of Parliament,

As you are aware, Prime Minister Trudeau invoked the Emergency Measures Act for the first time in our history, on Monday February 14^th, 2020.  

I understand this is now subject to open debate in the House of Commons for a 7 day period during which time it must be voted on and confirmed by the Members.  I urge all members to vote against this insane and unjustified measure as it will only further destroy and divide our great country as we know it.

First of all, there is NO EMERGENCY!  The protesters in Ottawa are peaceful and in no way a threat to our country or our citizens.  If anything, the reverse is true.  They are standing up for the rights and freedoms of all Canadians.  Of course these thing can all be debated in the house as well, but the situation certainly does not require any “emergency measures” or additional show of force by the Government.

Any and all “blockades” of roadways and border crossings were peacefully and safely dealt with and removed.  The protesters have been cooperative and have corrected any actions that were deemed unsafe or unlawful.  They are respecting the democratic process, being extremely reasonable, patient and peaceful in their approach to a Government that has blatantly and deliberately ignored them and actually provoked them with further negative, divisive and hateful comments and criticism.

This is an absolutely disgusting display of leadership in a free democratic society.  The Emergency Measures act must be voted down as it will only incite further division and potentially violence and destruction.  This is an act of war against our own peace loving, hard working, patriotic citizens.  I urge you to stand against this siege of our freedom.

I further urge you to unite our Country and restore freedom for all Canadians.  Please end all mandates, restrictions and discriminatory policies made in any Canadian jurisdiction and to take the necessary steps to prevent such mandates or policies from ever being imposed in the future.

A democratic Government is meant to serve and respect the citizens, not to rule over them and be served by them.  You have an extremely critical role in shaping our future and keeping the “True North Strong and Free”.  We are depending on you to make the right decision and stand up for our Country.
