The Shaggy Dog Grooming

We took our old pug in for a nail trim on Sunday. We have been having a hard time finding a groomer to do his nails well especially with his difficult pug nails and sassy temperament. We were delighted that she was able to get them cleaned up so well and keep Louie (and me) calm. She was extremely knowledgeable and personable. We will be back!!

We've been using Sue and Emily's services for about 10 years. They do a great job and handle reluctant dogs very well.

Emily is fantastic! After trying 2 other groomers in the area we have finally found someone who was able to properly groom our Hurley. Hurley does not like being groomed, especially around his face. For over a year the other groomers we tried left his face not groomed, since he is aggressive and threatens to bite. Emily connected with Hurley right away. It was so wonderful to finally see Hurley’s face again. We have found the best groomer by far! Hurley is much happier now!

3 professionals have tried to trim my rescue dog's nails and we have tried multiple times. We all get a few done... even with steak. BUT Emily got them all done today! I'm so happy. We will be back again and again! Thank you!

I took my puppy there for his first puppy grooming when he was 4 months old, he came back looking so beautiful, smelling very good and was great for the lock down time. I took him back when his long hair of a SHih Tzu Maltese mix started to mat in two spots, regardless of my daily brushing and weekly baths. We shaved him and while he isn't good at grooming and rather lay down to get his belly rubbed more than he will stand, Emily did a great job and if she doesn't hate my puppy that rather lick kiss and hug cuddle on his back more than being well behaved in standing up to be groomed, she will be my groomer as long as we are in London!

I can't say enough kind words about Emily and how much she helped me with my 18 year old Shitzu over the past few years. This week he went for his first grooming since Dec. due to lockdown, etc. Unknown to me he was in pain and was at the end of of a healthy life. She went above and beyond to assist me with my next steps. We are eternally grateful. Emily does much more than groom and cut nails. Please give her the respect she deserves. Support small business.

I loved taking my dogs here until today .
I picked my dog up after I was called to say she was done .( groomed and stuff)
Upon arriving the groomer who is friendly and courteous said Sadie isn’t doing well and she wasn’t she was breathing very heavy and didn’t look good . Immediately took to vet and found out she was in heart failure and too much damage to heart and she needed to be put down . After dealing with vet and all the tears and goodbyes . I called the groomer and explained what happened her response was typical . “ I wouldn’t know what a heart attack looks like “ but she did mention Sadie wasn’t doing well and finished the groom.
I guess what I am learning is groomers know hair but not animals or pets and have no training as when to stop grooming and notify the owners immediately.
So they groom very well and prices are very reasonable but can you really trust them with your pet? Shouldn’t they have a bit of knowledge of when to stop grooming and notify owners if “ isn’t doing well” .
Not expecting them to be vets but there needs to be some due diligence and common sense .
Didn’t even offer a refund . Oh well my dog ?? was worth more than the refund years of love and companionship.

Molly and I have been going to shaggy dog for about 5 yrs she is always happy when she goes in and happy when we go home. They do an excellent job. And I love the 5 dollar nail trim. Molly always looks great. Cost wise you couldn’t do better. But that’s just a perk molly never hesitates to go in not afraid at all.

I Think I found my new grooming place. They had my goldendoodle in and out in under 2 hours, and he looks great. We are going to go there for the $5 nails, cheapest in the city by far.

Last grooming was so disappointing. My dog has been groomed there several times. I didn't recognize her when I first saw her. I thought "Oh, that poor dog", then realized it was mine. I take care of her coat with daily combing. There is no excuse for just shaving everything off everywhere. Disrespectful to me and to my dog. I was so stunned I paid her. That was my mistake.
