From Dragonpine Designs, our in-house design team, comes this brand new pattern, designed by our own Carol & Judy as a joint collaboration…
‘MITTEN MAGIC’ PATTERN
These lined mittens are extra warm and cozy! Pattern offers three cuff trim options and two choices for finishing the top of the mitten. Pattern is written to fit three sizes.
The unique thumb gusset fits the natural shape of our hand and is especially comfortable to wear.
The mitten starts with a provisional cast on (optional) with detailed ‘how to’ instructions. After the inside mitten is completed, the stitches for the outside will be picked up from the provisional cast on. The outside layer has extra rounds in the fingers and thumb to allow for the thickness of the inside layer.

Materials
50 grams Fingering Weight Yarn or Sock Yarn (#1) for Main Colour (MC) for Outside of Mitten
50 grams Fingering Weight Yarn (#1) for Contrast Colour (CC) for Inside of Mitten
25 grams Lace Weight Mohair (#0) for Inside of Mitten
3.25 mm Double Pointed Needles or a long circular needle for magic loop. Alternatively, the main part of the mitten can be knit using a 3.25 mm x 11” circular needle.
The inside of this mitten is knit with one strand of mohair held together with one strand of fingering weight yarn. The mohair will help make this a warm and extra cozy mitten. The outside is knit with one strand of fingering weight yarn alone. The mitten is knit in the round from cuff to fingertip.

- Length: 10 [10.5, 11.75] inches from cuff to finger tips

The zippered closure on the top keeps everything inside them secure and they can be attached to the side of your project bag with the loop on the pouch.

A Slip-Stitch and Gathered Welted Cowl
Ousel Falls is a short, stunning hike in the heart of Big Sky, MT. Janelle caught the falls during the spring melt last year (her photo shown below). The falls, the forest, and the South and West Forks of the Gallatin River keep you cool on a hot summer day. I love the Falls stitch pattern! Happy knitting!
My one-piece, seamless, slip-stitch and gathered welted cowl is worked in the round, with symmetrical slip-stitch ribbing to match on either edge.
Designer Note: ‘If you are not an experienced chart reader, this is a great pattern to practice knitting from a chart, using the written directions only as a backup! Choose a yarn like Illimani Santi, it has great stitch definition in this cowl!’ – Bonnie

We are looking to expand our team and are inviting those of you who are interested to apply starting today!
London Yarns is in need of individuals who want to join us and share in the love of any and all fibre arts. We are offering casual part time positions. Ideally, applicants would make themselves available and be flexible for occasional shifts during our store hours; Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday from 11- 4pm and Thursdays from 11- 6pm.
To apply, instead of a typical resume, we would rather receive a cover letter from you. In that letter, please state your strengths as they relate to our store. Please tell us about your experience, remembering that you do not have to be an expert in every facet of what we do here. Skills to mention would include knitting, crochet, felting, and machine knitting, among others.
Additional strengths to mention would be any experience you may have in customer service, computer skills, social media, organization, and teaching. Knowledge and experience with websites such as Ravelry would also be an asset. London Yarns is a learning environment, and we would be happy to train new hires in areas that they may have little to no experience in (as yet)!
