We know that December was a very busy month for many and we shared a number of things with you in our emails during that time. So today we are re-visiting two special features that may have escaped our notice but that we wouldn’t want you to miss out on – a new yarn arrival (plus some pattern inspiration) and an exclusive, ‘limited edition’ needle set.

ChiaoGoo has just announced their second version of the special edition Forté set! We have managed to secure a small number of sets for the shop and we are so excited to tell you all about this exclusive set!
Please Note: Due to limited availability, these sets are available for pre-order and will be delivered to us by the end of January. These sets are on a first come, first serve basis, so if you are interested, we highly recommend that you order as soon as possible to ensure that you get your set.
The Forté 2.0 set includes 14 pairs of 5” needle tips, sizes 2.75 mm to 10.00 mm (including 3.00 mm). The small [S] tip joins are made with stainless steel ends and carbon fiber shafts. They are designed to have smooth joins, the perfect ‘grab’, and they are VERY strong. The large [L] join tips are made of stainless steel and lustrous, slick African Blackwood that promotes smooth stitch gliding. The needle tips are laser imprinted with needle size and join size and will never wear off!
This set comes packaged in an elegant case made from “REACH” compliant man-made material. It has a double-sided, removable needle board that will firmly hold your needles in place, elastic to hold your accessories in place while still being accessible, and four pockets to hold your other knitting supplies. The case opens book-style with a full zipper enclosure that is sure to keep your needles safe.

Ultra Alpaca Chunky from Berroco is a super soft yarn made from a gorgeous, luxurious blend of 50% Super Fine Alpaca and 50% Peruvian Highland wool creating a perfectly balanced yarn – the extra warmth of alpaca combined with the bounce and memory from the wool. This combination results in a fabulously warm and soft yarn that works up quickly to a chunky gauge and is an excellent choice for projects such as hats, mittens, cowls, scarves, blankets and yes, even sweaters.
Berroco Ultra Alpaca Chunky comes in a stunning range of 22 solid and heathered colours, as well as 7 undyed, natural shades. Made in Peru.
