Welcome to London Yarns LYS Week! We have a lot planned for your excitement and enjoyment.
Local Yarn Store Day (LYS Day) is a TNNA program (The National Needlearts Association) designed to drive traffic to local yarn stores. LYS Day has brought thousands of ‘yarnies’ from across the US and Canada to their local shops to see the exclusive, unique products created specifically for LYS Day. Think of it as an International Yarn Crawl!
We here at London Yarn are participating in this sixth annual LYS Day (Local Yarn Store Day) scheduled for April 29, 2023! BUT…we’re going a step further…we are going to make it a LYS WEEK! Join us for a day WEEK of celebrating our unique community of knitters, crocheters, felters, weavers, and spinners from April 25-29, 2023.
Here is a brief summary of what we have lined up for today’s email that details our LYS Week Events:

We have brought in a BRAND NEW selection of more than 200+ skeins of Zen Yarn Garden Yarns (mostly in fingering weight [#1]) in a wide array of colour choices and dyed on a variety of yarn bases for you to ogle, enjoy and adopt & take home as your very own.
These yarns tend to fly out the door quickly, so if you see something you like, it’s best to grab it right then and there, while you have it in hand, so as to avoid disappointment later.

2023 LYS DAY Shawl
The 2023 LYS Day Shawl
is from Casapinka
This shawl is an elongated triangular shape worked from one end of the neckline edge to the other and uses just 2 skeins of fingering weight (#1) yarn (min. 365m/400yd each) in contrasting or complimentary colours. [Note: If choosing one solid and one variegated, the variegated is recommended to be colour B.]

The shaping for this 2023 LYS Day Shawl is created by working increases at the outer edges, combined with a double decrease at the center.
