Are you as anxious as we are to get knitting and crocheting with some lighter weight yarns and summery projects? We thought you might be! So today’s offerings highlight a NEW 2023 Spring/Summer yarn from Berroco, as well as some currently stocked cotton & cotton blend yarns.
We know that since in-person shopping has resumed we are enjoying seeing and having yarn in hand prior to purchasing. But let’s not forget Berroco’s DropShip program that is still in effect.

The Berroco DropShip program is still available and once again, we are going to feature it today. But first, we want to share a beautiful Indie design coming to us from the East Coast of Canada.
PRESENTING…
The Antique Lace pattern, brought to us by knitwear designer Ilga Leja based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Ilga likes to focus on classic, elegant designs, but also loves to experiment with stitch patterns, play with colour and explore interesting garment shapes and construction. She has 161 designs published on Ravelry! And here is one of them…
A dowry find from the Victorian era, this lacey, loose-fitting top can make you feel as though you belong to another slower-paced era. Knit in a delicate lace pattern, in three pieces, it is joined at the shoulders with a three-needle bind off. Short rows, give shaping at the shoulders, and allow the tapered fronts to lie evenly.
Over a long-sleeved shirt, this light-as-air top serves as a vest. Over a camisole, it becomes the barest cover-up.
Instructions are both charted and written.

About the yarn…
There are times when the weather is too cool for 100% cotton but too warm for 100% wool which is why we love to make things out of Spree, a perfectly balanced cotton and wool blend in a Sport/DK weight.
Painted using an impressionistic spray-effect dye technique, Spree has dappled, painterly colours throughout. We love using this yarn for lightweight garments and accessories for all season wear.
Spree is the perfect in-between-season yarn. It's 56% wool and 44% cotton blend creates garment and accessories that will adapt to the changing temperatures with comfort and ease.
Spree comes in 11 beautiful shades that evoke the feeling of sunsets and oceans. The soft colours bring a cheerful spring hue to your projects.
