We thought we might keep things relatively simple this week, offering two FREE patterns that are simple to knit yet gorgeous to wear! They are two easy designs that can be made to look as elaborate or as uncomplicated as your choice of yarn allows. Two simple accessories that will prove useful as we transition into somewhat warmer weather shortly…here’s hoping ;)
First, a reminder…
We know that last Thursday was nasty weather to be out and about, so we wanted to remind you of our new extended store hours that you can take advantage of this week and thereafter. We are now open late on Thursdays until 6pm.

Ride the Wave…
Shimmer and shine with this simple, dropped stitch pattern cowl in Millefiori Light.
Pommery uses yarnovers which are then dropped to create the wavy texture.
Millefiori Light adds just a hint of luster to the garment. The wool and acrylic blend is soft, smooth, and comes in an array of gleaming colours.
Pommery is a wavy and fun cowl that is worked flat and then seamed….or don’t seam it and wear it as a scarf!

TWO FREE PATTERNS…Project # 2
Texture and openwork stitches work together to create a lush and elegant shawl. Sullivan is the perfect size to hug your shoulders and keep you warm; made with the newest member of Berroco’s Vintage family of yarns, Vintage Sock. This soft yarn is great for easy-care garments, and comes in a wide range of solid & heathered colours.
The Sullivan shawl is worked from tip to tip, increasing for the first half, and then decreasing for the second half. Short rows are used to create a crescent shape and the border is worked as you go. Border stitches are charted.
Finished Size: 63.5cm deep x 117cm wingspan (20½" x 46")
Yardage: 800 m (874 yds) Fingering weight yarn (#1) or Sock weight yarn (#1)
