Today’s email contains a treat for you…a new Kit from Dragonpine Designs! These kits are sooo much fun to knit, the colours and textures keep you motivated and the finished shawl is a ‘show stopper’!
The second shawl that we are featuring today is an enjoyable, colourful knit using one or two shades of Noro Ito. Enjoy!

In addition to our in-house pattern designs, we are now offering Kits! The pattern for our ‘That’s a Wrap’ Kits was designed by us and the yarns for each kit are hand-picked by our staff.
INTRODUCING…
“The Hollywood Collection – ‘THAT’S A WRAP’ Kit”
Created by our in-house design team, our Hollywood Wrap Kits come complete with pattern, written in 3 sizes (S, M, L) and containing 5-6 different yarns with enough yardages to complete two small wraps, a small and a medium wrap or one large wrap. Each kit is unique and the colourways are varied. Kits are suitable for ALL knitters, including beginners!
(The pictures shown are samples of previously made kits. All of the current kits are unique and come in a variety of colourways & textures and in a range of prices. Each kit is priced individually according to the yarns used in it.)
What’s a “Hollywood – That’s a Wrap Kit”, you ask?
Well … let me entice you explain:
- Each kit consists of unique & individual colourways – from sophisticated to understated to neutrals to playful colours.
- Rectangle wraps, knit in garter stitch, in an assortment of colours & textures, with the added bonus of no ends to tie in!
- Pattern gives 3 suggested sizes – sizing can easily be altered/adjusted ...
- THE “Starlet Drape”…18” x 42” – a comfortable shoulder wrap
- THE “Sunset Blvd Sweep”…18” x 57” – a ‘once around the shoulder’ wrap
- THE “Evening at the Oscars Swag”…18” x 75” – a ‘pashmina-type’ wrap
Bring out your inner artist! We’ve done the work of putting the colourways together for you, now you can “paint” with them, creating your very own ‘work of art’ fabric. Use the colours randomly, linear or repetitively. Be as creative or structured as you wish. Either way, the results are stunning!!

The pattern is well written with line by line instructions and has knit-in I-cord along both edges, making for a very tidy finish!

About the yarn…
Noro ITO is a heavy worsted/aran weight (#4), single-ply yarn with a somewhat slubby texture that comes in large 200 gram balls, with 400 metres per ball!
Made from 100% organic, non-mulesed wool, ITO is one of Noro’s most colourful creations, providing an ever-changing colour spectrum to the finished fabric!! We dare you to count the number of colours you can find in each ball of ITO!
One ball is enough for a scarf or cowl but it is also a fabulous choice for head-turning shawls & sweaters.
