Today’s email contains the complete ‘ingredients’, as well as ‘options’ of ingredients, to knit a wearable ‘work of art’, aka a cardigan for yourself or a loved one, or better yet…for both of you!
Knitting Needles are essential for our craft. But you may wonder, ‘what’s the benefit of upgrading my needles? Aren’t the ones I’ve used for years “good enough”?’ That is a valid question. It’s like ANY craft or trade – good tools make for ease and enjoyment of the work being done. Carol and Heather are both knitting theirs with the same yarns Cheryl chose for her first Lethe, Softee Cotton and lace weight mohair held together throughout, but chose different colours.
Judy is about to cast on her own version of Lethe…I wonder what yarn she has chosen??? I’m thinking Berroco SESAME? Sesame would be colourful! Or perhaps Berroco DULCE? Dulce would be soft, lightweight with a cozy halo. Both would be excellent choices! Guess that just leaves Janet, Abby & I who are as of yet ‘Lethe-less’…no pressure, ha!
About the pattern…
Our Nancy’s Lethe Cardigan,
This cardigan is shaped with raglans and has a lovely rib and cable collar. The rib and cable pattern is also featured on the sleeves. Body is worked in one piece to underarms, and then divided for back and front. Sleeves are worked in the round to underarms, and then raglan sleeve caps are worked back and forth in rows.
Finished Measurements:
Bust (closed): 33½ (38, 43, 47½, 52, 57, 61½, 66½, 71, 76)” / 85 (96.5, 109, 120.5, 132, 145, 156, 169, 180.5, 193) cm
Length: 22¾ (23½, 24, 24½, 25, 25½, 26, 26½, 26¾, 27)” / 58 (60, 61.5, 62.5, 64, 65, 66.5, 67.5, 68.5, 69) cm
Recommended positive ease of 2”- 4” / 5-10 cm.
