NEW STOCK, RESTOCK & PATTERNS

Monday, October 10, 2022 – New Stock, Restock & Patterns

Today’s email has a bit of everything mixed in. We have included two quick knit patterns ideas, a reminder about ordering Ancient Arts COTM. Berroco’s Taste Packs are now in stock, as well as sharing with you some very cute specialty stitch markers.

We have restocked an exciting, relatively new notion that is changing the way Knitters put stitches on hold. If you’ve not already familiar with “TKB Cords”, please read on. For those of us that already have a set and know how GREAT!!! they are, do we perhaps want another set on hand? Or gift a set to a fellow knitter? Now’s the time to do so while they are in stock and available!

Just restocked, direct from Finland...

A revolutionary new way to
put your stitches on hold!

Whether you need to put stitches on hold or want to be able to try on your work-in-progress as you go, you will love both the ease and convenience of The Knitting Barber (TKB) cords!

TKB Cords are a Knitters best friend! These colourful silicone cords are handy when you need to put stitches on hold or you need to try the garment on.

Use these handy silicone cords instead of traditional stitch holders or waste yarn. Simply tuck the cord snuggly onto the needle tip and transfer your stitches from the needle to the cord. When you need to put the stitches back onto the needle, simply reverse the process – YES!! It’s THAT easy!

Ask for a free demo at the store to see how these cords work!

Fits needles up to size 2.25 mm up to and including 7.00 mm (US 10½)

The TKB-Cords are now in-stock in
14 colours: Black, Blue, Brown, Fuchsia, Green, Red, Light Blue, Light Green (Neon), Mauve, Orange, Pink, Violet, White, Yellow.

Note: These TKB Cords were designed by Jojo Stolpe and she makes each set by hand in Vaasa, Finland.

Each TKB Cord Set includes:
  • 2 x 30" (76 cm) silicone cords
  • 1 x 60" (152 cm) silicone cord
  • 1 screw top metal storage tin (68 mm diameter)
  • $17.98 / set of 3

How do they work?
Say goodbye to frustrating waste yarn and hello to these hollow silicone cables!

Firmly press the tip of the cord onto your needle (~1 cm) and gently slip your stitches onto the cable for holding, and vice versa for placing the stitches back on to the needles! (If placing sleeves or stitches on hold to pick up later, just tie the ends of the TKB cords together until you're ready to make those stitches live again.)

When your stitches are in place, then gently remove the cord from the needle by pushing it off with your fingertip or nail, do not pull the cord off.  Just pop it gently like an expensive champagne cork.

Once on the cord, allow your stitches to stretch around the added circumference to make trying on your garments a breeze. Can be used for sleeves, body, hat, etc.
