Introducing the newest yarn to grace our shelves, Berroco Sesame – a gorgeous, self-patterning, worsted weight blend of wool, acrylic, cotton, and nylon. Each of these fibres takes the dye differently, producing an interesting marbled effect. Sesame has a subtle sheen and tiny little bobbles and flecks that run through the yarn adding to the texture and giving it a slight tweedy effect
Sesame is multi-textured and multi-coloured treat to work with! And did we mention that it is machine washable?!?
Sesame comes in a big 100 gram ball with generous 210mtrs/230yds of yarn.
Sesame is the perfect versatile yarn for any project, from multi-season garments to accessories that can be worn year-round.

Ponchos are all the rage for fall this year! They are great to throw on; warm when needed, but not overly warm as the sides are open and allow for venting. They can also be ‘figure flattering’ for all shapes and sizes. Plus, they are fun to knit.

Meet Match Play, a poncho featuring high-impact textured stitches and great techniques. Match Play has a bit of structure as Michelle nudges you toward full sweater knitting. The best aspect of this poncho is that it has an easygoing fit to be figure-flattering on everyone. Match Play’s design features a vertical central motif to elongate every silhouette and who doesn’t like that?

This Poncho is knit from the bottom up in two pieces. Stitch patterns are both written in text and charted. We have Match Play on display here at the store, knit using Berroco Vintage DK.
An optional vertical centre panel pattern is Lacey Diamonds, shown below. Or put the Lacey Diamonds on one side of your poncho and the regular Diamonds on the other side, then you have two options for wearing it front or back!
