Today we are featuring 3 projects – one for each day that we are open this week.
As we are coming up on a statutory holiday, we will be closed on both Friday and Saturday for the long weekend. That means that the store will be open for just 3 days this week, thus the title of today’s email “3 days / 3 projects”.
If you want to stock up on some yarn or start a new project to take with you whether you are travelling or enjoying a ‘stay-cation’, be sure to make it into the store between Tuesday to Thursday!

This shawl is knit diagonally using short rows. Unlike traditional shawls, the further along you get in this project, the shorter the rows are! Besides, the different stitch patterns will keep you engaged until the end.

This pattern is a playful experiment in colour theory. The trio of coordinating “mismatched” socks is created by rearranging the order of three contrasting colours when you knit each sock.
Cubical Socks feature a boxy, mosaic (slipped stitch) design. If you are new to mosaic colourwork, it is basically like knitting stripes with a few strategically placed slipped stitches. You are only working with one colour of yarn at a time. The mosaic motif is charted.
The socks are knit from the toe up with a star toe and a short row heel.
This pattern can be worked with your favorite small circumference circular knitting method whether that is double points or circular needles.
Finished Sock Measurements:
Circumference: 6¼ (7¼, 8¼, 9¼)”
Foot Length: 8½ (9½, 10½, 11½)”
Leg Height (floor to top of cuff): 7 (7¼, 7½, 7¾)”
Yardage:
380 mtrs (400 yds) in each of 3 colours of Fingering weight (#1) yarn. This is enough yarn to make 4 socks in the two larger sizes and 6 socks in the two smaller sizes
