This week’s edition of our Monday email is all about fingering weight (#1) yarns – and colour, of course. Some are familiar yarns, some new yarns, but ALL are fantastic yarns!
If you are an ‘out of town’ reader and haven’t been able to come into the store personally, we have some good news for you and for ALL our readers! Perhaps you remember reading about our Zen Yarn Haul that we brought in for Local Yarn Store Day?
Well, here is the good news x2:
Good news # 1 is that we have decided to broaden the ‘Yarn Haul’ special event into an ongoing ZEN YARN ‘TRUNK SHOW’. That means that you still have time to shop the extensive selection of Zen Yarns in-store.
Good news # 2 is that we have now posted these Zen yarns online, just in a slightly different fashion. Since many, if not most of these yarns are One-Of-A-Kind (OOAK) and thus cannot be duplicated or reordered; we have taken group photos of the yarns according to the yarn base rather than pictures of each skein or colourway.

Many of these ‘Trunk Show’ yarns are One-Of-A-Kind’s (OOAK’s). We may have more than one skein of a particular colour that match each other, but the OOAK’s are just that – one-of-a-kind, and thus not ‘repeatable’, meaning we cannot order more of that colourway.
So, make your choices quickly, as the colours we have are unique and they don’t tend to stick around for long ;)
The yarn bases are all FINGERING WEIGHT (#1) yarns. We’ve listed them on our website in alphabetical order for ease of reading and added photos of the colours in stock at the time.
**Since most of these yarns do not have names or colour numbers, we are not able to keep a running inventory on them. So please come in or call in to see if your favourite choices are still in stock.

With its striking marled twist and slow fade from colour to colour, Perth is excellent for socks, sweaters, shawls, and more. It has a lovely drape and wears well over time.
Perth is a particularly great option for projects that require both a marled and a long colour changing yarn.
