TINY TOT ITEMS

Monday, August 2, 2021 – Tiny Tot Items

Hello there! We hope that you are all enjoying a wonderful day off and staying safe as you do so.

Today we are featuring items to make for those precious little ones in our lives. Baby knits are always soooo cute and they are relatively quick to make up! Also, keep in mind that these small projects are great for car knitting or taking with you on holidays or to the cottage.

All of the patterns offered today are offered as free downloads and they all use DK weight yarn (#3). We have made a few in-stock yarn suggestions for today’s patterns – choose from cotton/cotton blends, wool/wool blends and synthetics. ALL of the yarns listed here today are machine washable for ease of care.

Or if you prefer, click here to view ALL of the in-stock DK weight yarns listed on our website.

The yarns that we are suggesting are as follows…

  • Vintage DK – 52% Acrylic, 40% Wool, 8% Nylon; 265m/100g; $11.98.
  • Ultra Wool DK – 100% Superwash Wool; 267m/100g; $16.98.

Synthetics

  • Sirdar Snuggly DK – 55% Nylon, 45% Acrylic; 165m/50g; $7.98.

We have listed the yardage required for all of the patterns and sizes shown below. So, choose your pattern(s), choose your yarn(s) and if you need help doing the math to find out how many balls/skeins you need to complete your project(s), we are most happy to help!

And so, without further delay, here are some adorable ‘tiny tots’ knits for you to browse…

“These cute little French Macaroon sweaters (or Macaron in French) were inspired by the delicious and colorful macaroons my friend Bee gave me. They are knit in simple garter stitch. The sweater has a boatneck neckline, with a one button closure in the back to allow easy dressing. Each side is knit in one piece, and a three needle bind off is used to secure the shoulders to each other. Two little seams on each side finish up the sweaters. They knit up in no time, and like the delicious sweets they are named after, you might not be able to stop at just one!” - Caroline
