For those of you who follow us on Instagram & Facebook, you well know that we had a very busy week last week – receiving deliveries, unpacking, restocking and cataloging MANY new arrivals!! Today we will share with you some of what’s new in the shop, as well as a continuation of last week’s ‘new yarn’, we will provide some pattern inspiration for you to work with one of these new treasures.

The original Zauberball has been kicked up a notch – its gone crazy!! Two strands of the main ply have been dyed individually and then twisted together for crazy colour combinations! The end result is a self-striping, multi-coloured pattern, with a bold variegated design!
Zauberball Crazy is also great for all other items that call for a fingering weight yarn – this yarn is extremely soft and smooth, and perfect to wear next to skin.

Garter stitch – it‘s simple, it’s warm and squishy, stretchy and reversible and it makes any variegated, hand-dyed yarn really shine!
Hitchhiker is a narrow, slightly asymmetrically shaped triangular shawlette that can be wrapped around the neck several times. The ends are long enough to tie it with a knot. One of the short sides of the triangle features a saw-tooth border that evolves naturally during the knitting and gives the shawl its unusual shape. Because the knitting starts at one end, you can stop anytime, bind off and end up with a useful neckerchief, shawlette or shawl.
A perfect project to relax in between more complicated ones, also very suitable for beginner knitters.

This scarf is incredibly easy to knit and would be a good project for knitters at any skill level, especially beginners. It’s perfect for social knitting. It’s all garter stitch, which means you knit every row.
The asymmetrical shaping is a result of an increase at the beginning of the row and a decrease at the end of the row. There is an additional increase at the end of the next row in the pattern.
We chose this gorgeous, hand dyed, self-striping cotton yarn for warm weather knitting and wearing.

Pazar is a multi-functional bag for market, beach or anywhere casual. Variegated stripes and changing stitch textures, add interest while knitting and some visual fun to the finished market bag.

Pattern Notes:
The bag is started from the bottom with a provisional cast on and worked flat. Stitches are then picked up for the sides and the bag is worked in the round. The garter rib pattern transitions to a vertical eyelet stitch, then back to the garter rib for a top border. The top of the bag is bound off in an I-cord edging. The I-cord edged strap is worked flat from one side and stitched to the live strap stitches on the other side.

COVID HEART DROP BOX
We will have a contactless drop box outside our front door starting tomorrow, Tuesday, May 18th. This drop box will be out front all this week during our curbside pickup hours of 12 noon to 4pm until end of day on Saturday. Please make sure that your hearts are enclosed in a sealed ziplock bag (as shown below) prior to depositing them in our dropbox.
If you prefer to put multiple hearts in a single ziplock bag, you may do so as long as they are in matching pairs.
