Seems everyone is in a bit of a hurry these days! Keeping that in mind, in addition to Berroco’s ‘quick knit’ DropShip project of the week, we thought we might share with you some smaller projects that work up swiftly and that feature our in-stock yarns – all to keep your hands busy and produce faster results.
But first, here is a short note from Janet & Jen…
New service at London Yarns: surprise gift delivery!
With the holiday season upon us, we are now offering a BRAND NEW surprise gift delivery service. Think of this as a way for you to give a “Secret Santa” gift to a surprise recipient! For $8, we will arrange for our local courier to deliver the parcel to your recipient, we will wrap your gift with themed (or plain!) wrapping paper and wrapping accessories, and we will include a custom message of your choice.
But, of course, you may want to use this service for any special occasion! What about birthdays? Anniversaries? Retirements? New jobs? New baby? New pet? The possibilities are endless! If you wanted a custom delivery date, we can also arrange for that (Tuesday to Saturday), and we can do our best to arrange for ideal time-of-day delivery.
Choose yarn, notions, patterns, accessories…anything we have in the store, and let us deliver a lucky person a surprise gift!

Our Papavero Shawl is a fresh and fun shawl knit with our bulky and colourful yarn, Berroco Coco. Using big needles, this shawl will knit up fast!
A big, bold shawl with a simple eyelet pattern is a great layering piece for chilly days. Knit from end to end, this shawl knitting pattern can easily be customized to your preferred width and length.
Pattern leaflet is included free of charge with yarn purchase (reg. $6 USD).

We knit our Two-Point Cowl using Katia’s Melody Jacquard Print – one yarn, two looks!
The beauty of this yarn for this particular project is that the construction of this cowl, combined with the way the ‘self-striping print’ plays out, it not only adds interest to the cowl, but creates two different looks on the front and back!
We used two balls of Melody Jacquard Print with 7mm needles to match the chunky weight gauge. There was enough of the second ball left over that you could easily get two cowls from three balls – knit one for yourself AND a friend! (shown in colour 502)
