Monday, November 2/20 – Getting Ready for Winter
Welcome to November. Today’s email is about getting us ready for Winter. Last week we featured blanket projects to wrap around our shoulders or keep our laps warm. This week we are going to add to our winter gear with pullovers, a cardi, a few hats, a cowl kit, fingerless mitts, a new Peruvian wool called Mercado and even some felted totes…all to freshen up our winter wardrobe and keep us toasty warm during the cold months ahead. So, LOTS to share and inspire, with something for everyone!!

In this week's DropShip offer, Berroco is sharing one of their favourite ‘His/Her’ sweater patterns, Rochester and Eyre, which come together in a single pattern, offered FREE of charge (reg. $8USD), with yarn purchase, as well as featuring a ‘new to us’ yarn called MERCADO.
Mercado is bit thicker than worsted weight, yet not as heavy as a chunky weight…not too thin, not too thick, it is just right! And, don’t you just love the fact that this classic yarn is made from none other than 100% pure Peruvian Highland Wool, that is made in Peru?!?! [I would fill my closets with this yarn if I could, ha ha.]
A timeless pullover knitting pattern, Eyre is knit in pieces alternating between stockinette and reverse stockinette stitch with a cozy shawl collar. The men’s version, Rochester, is included along with this pattern.

Bust: 35 (39, 43, 47, 51, 55, 59, 63) inches
Length: 25 (25, 25½, 25½, 26, 26, 26½, 27) inches

Portage is a cabled hat pattern, knit in the round, with a deep twisted-rib brim, topped with an optional pompom. You only need one skein of Berroco Mercado to knit this cozy hat!

We love how fantastic these textured stitches look in Berroco Mercado. Marysville is a relaxed fit cardigan in an all-over lace pattern. It's knit from the bottom up and is sure to be your go-to cardigan this winter.

Gauge: 13 sts = 4" in St st with larger needle (before felting)
This sturdy tote features wide stripes of Mercado, an outside side pocket and a knotted self-handle. Knotty is a free pattern download.

About the yarn…
This classic yarn is made from 100% pure Peruvian Highland Wool. It knits up quickly and has a soft hand. It is great for cables, colourwork, felting and so much more. Made in Peru.
