This week we have our very own, locally designed patterns by Janet, Judy and Cathy to share with you. The patterns include socks, a wrap (for both hand and machine knitters) and a baby blanket, along with an incredible ‘DropShip’ offer from Berroco!! But before we begin, here is a personal note from Janet:
Hello again everyone! Happy Summer!
I hope this message finds all of you well and you are beginning to enjoy this summer weather. This past weekend was the beginning of Summer arriving hand in hand with the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year (as far as daylight hours are concerned). I for one, am always wishing that the day itself could have more hours packed into it, daylight or not! There is always so much to do… and so little time!
I would like to take the time today to send a very special “shout out” to all of you, our loyal and valued customers. For the past few weeks as we have been working within our new system for the store, including new hours, different days of the week that we are open, and our curbside pick up and delivery services, all of you have been so supportive, considerate, and understanding of our situation, so I would just like to send out a huge “THANK YOU” to each and every one of you!
Not only would I like to thank all of you, our customers (the backbone of our business), but I would also like to send out a HUGE THANK YOU to the wonderful girls working for London Yarns. The love that we all have for this store is more evident than ever during these challenging times and I am so lucky to work with so many amazing people. Some of us (myself included) are working remotely while Cathy, Jen, Louise & Nancy are keeping the store humming and your parcels moving out the door, 4 hours a day, 5 days a week! My “thank you’s” would not be complete without thanking Patti-Ann for her tireless work on the weekly email that we all enjoy SO much, as well as thanking Jen & Judy for all the time and effort they put into logging all of our yarns and notions (including colours and available quantities) onto the website to make your shopping experience even more streamlined. Every evening all of those quantities are updated so that the website remains accurate, and I thank all of the front line girls for keeping track of everything coming or going.
Here is a reminder of our current store hours:
PLEASE REMEMBER! The store is NOT open to the public. For the utmost in safety, we are continuing to offer curbside pickup, local courier deliveries (thank you Brian T) and Canada Post mailings.
We are currently open Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 noon until 4:00 pm.
The store is closed on Sunday & Monday.

NEW PATTERN…
Summertime Socks

How cute are these?!?! Janet has written up the pattern for her Summertime Socks, featuring a Picot cast on, simple eyelet detail in the leg and foot, and an eye of partridge heel flap.
The pattern works hand-in-hand with Regia’s Tutti Fruiti Colour sock yarn, but would still look amazing with ANY sock yarn – plain, self-patterning or hand dyed!
The pattern calls for 100 grams of sock yarn and 2.25 mm double pointed needles. (Janet’s used just 230 mtrs for the anklet socks shown above.) Finished size is Woman’s Medium = US size 7-9, but is easily adjustable.
If you want to make some ‘Tutti Fruiti’ Socks of your own, we currently have Strawberry, Grapes and Apple colourways in stock.

We have a NEW WRAP pattern for you today!
Judy has designed this shawl for machine knitters and Cathy has written the pattern for hand knitters.
The shawl pattern is called, “Wrapped in Lace & Cables”:
Machine-Knit Version: gives you the option of two finished sizes - 20” x 60” Small; 20” x 66” Large. Both sizes are knit with Worsted/Aran (# 4) weight yarn.
Knit in one piece, by hand or machine, the shawl consists of a stocking stitch panel bordered with 3 sections of cables and delicate, but simple, lace work that adds interest to this beautiful yet functional shawl. It is knit flat and seamed on one shoulder.
Dress it up or dress it down with your choice of yarn, colour and texture. Choose a solid or heathered colour or even a subtle verigated colour might be your preference. Wear your new Wrapped In Lace & Cables shawl indoors, outdoors on a cool evening or over a coat to dress it up and add extra warmth in the cooler months.

Knit entirely in one piece (no seaming!!), with Bulky weight yarn, this is a fun and quick knit!
The perfect sized blanket for a car seat, stroller or play mat! In each of the nine squares, there sits a cute little bunny, complete with 3D tail knitted in, nine bunnies in all!
Finished measurements, as written, are 36” wide x 30” long. But of course, the finished size can very easily be adjusted by adding another bunny square (or two) to the width or another row (or two) of bunnies to lengthen it.
