LUNGAUER 6-PLY by Ferner Wolle – this DK weight ‘sock yarn’ is available in a small shade range of 5 colours. These five pretty, tonal colourways will suit many other projects, as well as socks. This machine washable wool blend would make comfortable sweaters, shawls, baby clothes, blankets, etc. Being a generous 150 gram ball, you only need one ball to make a pair of adult socks.

Suggested Knitting Needle: 3 mm – 4 mm, US – 2½ - 6

Austermann is the original Aloe Vera and Jojoba oil fused sock yarn – now available in a self-patterning, double knitting weight yarn!
It is truly one of the softest sock yarns on the market, featuring a Cashmere-like touch, without the Cashmere price! Step Alaska Color 6-ply will soften your hands while knitting, and soften your feet when wearing. The Aloe Vera and Jojoba oil will last for approximately 40 machine washes.
In contrast to normal anti-felting processes, the EXP process is chlorine-free (EXP uses non-toxic salts). EXP treatments save a great deal of water - up to 50%. In addition EXP requires far fewer and much less harmful chemicals than other treatments.
This self-patterning yarn is fun to knit! Watch the pattern emerge as you knit.

Tension: 23 sts = 4" (10 cm)
Suggested Knitting Needle: 3 mm – 4 mm, US – 2½ - 6

About Jojoba and Aloe Vera
Jojoba and Aloe Vera belong to the oldest well known medicinal plants. Now these skin care active ingredients are infused into this sock yarn! STEP is equipped with Jojoba and Aloe Vera extract – two in itself optimally complementary active components that care for feet on the go. The effect is proven to remain after more than 40 household washes. Because of this special treatment, STEP has a cashmere-like, soft touch.
Jojoba – The oil of the Jojoba bush fruit is not a vegetable oil, but a high-quality liquid wax. It protects the skin against dryness without leaving behind a greasy film because it is completely absorbed by the skin. Jojoba oil can reduce inflammation, improve cell regeneration and calm the skin. It improves the elasticity of the skin and provides a comfortably fresh feeling. In addition, the numerous active substances carry vitamin A, E and F, amino acids as well as unsaturated fatty acids.
Aloe Vera – Especially in the wellness and in some medical areas, Aloe Vera has successfully been used. Over 160 substances have been found in the plant, for example the vitamins A, C, D, E and traces of B12 as well as lipids and proteins. The enzyme Brady-kinase can be helpful with inflammations and pains, and Salicylic acid is known for its analgesic effect.
