We are having a book signing!!
Local designers, Gladys Ottens & Christy Poolman of GC Designs from Sarnia, Ontario
will be at London Yarns on Saturday, December 9th from 11 am – 2 pm
for a ‘meet & greet’ and to personally sign your copy of their book,
“A Canadian Afghan, eh!”
If you have already purchased a copy, bring it with; if not, copies of their book are available for purchase at our store and are including in the Storewide Sale Discount.
This is an afghan made up of squares depicting Canadian icons. Finished afghan size is approximately 56” x 80”. The afghan can be knit in any worsted weight yarn. A maple leaf border completes this design. Clear written and charted instructions are included. There are 21 squares included in this book, 19 make up the afghan and 2 squares can be used as pillows. The instructions give you the option of knitting each individual square or the whole afghan all in one piece.

NEW CLASS…
NEEDLE FELTING with JEN: Felt a Festive Tree Ornament!
One 1.5-hour Session
Cost: $40 (Materials Included – see note below)
Date & Time: Saturday, December 16/17 from 10 am – 11:30 am

Come join me in a beginner needle felting class! Have you ever wanted to try your hand at needle felting, but can’t figure out where to begin? This class is for you! We will be using the new needle felting kits from Infiknit to make Christmas tree ornaments! Each kit contains enough fiber, felt, beads, and decorative cord to make two felted ornaments in the shape of decorated trees. In this class we will learn the basics of needle felting, and we will have enough time to make one full ornament and get well on our way to making the second. Extra kits will be available for sale after class, because take my word for it: needle felting is great fun and you’ll want to keep going at home! 
Class Includes – fiber, wool felt, beads, decorative cord, felting needle, felting mat, bead sewing needle, clear nylon cord, printed instructions for you to take home, and fabric glue.
Bring to Class – SHARP scissors (for cutting the wool felt), and an unopened can of soup or canned vegetables (you will be bringing this back home with you unopened; we need a weight to hold the top layer of felt to the bottom layer during the gluing process and a can of soup is the perfect size and weight!).
