SIMPLE INSPIRATION
Monday, April 17, 2017 – Simple Inspiration

Traditionally, though I knit year round, most of my knitting projectss tend to lean towards ‘Winter-type knits’. But recently, I find myself wanting to knit more for Spring & Summer – lightweight, cool, drapey, flowing fabrics that lend themselves to warmer weather in the Summer and are an effective ‘layer’ to wear in the cooler seasons. So, as a result, I’ve been doing some ‘pattern surfing’ to find some motivation to work with some of our newer yarns that we have shared with you recently….think ‘Fiore, Tahiti, Meadow, Poems Sock, Drizzle, Bliss, Itty-Bitty, Crisp, Cascade 220 Sport, Katia Ombre, Snuggly DK, Country Style DK, Spring Rainbow, Baby Bamboo, Ambiente, Nako Vals, Cotton Bamboo, Zen Yarn Garden, etc.

A very, VERY, EASY knit!! How simple, yet elegant & versatile is this stocking stitch rectangle wrap?!?! Yes, the finished fabric will ‘roll’ or ‘curl’, but that is part of the “Design Feature” and adds to the stylish, graceful flow of the wrap!
With soooooo many yarn options, variations and possibilities,
I might just leave this ‘Think…”yarn??”’ up to your own imagination.

- CaPa Vest – a side to side knit garter stitch vest with optional pockets
- Chill Chaser – a ‘sweater shawl’, in 4 sizes & pattern offers the choice of 5 different RIB patterns & 5 different CABLE patterns giving you a choice of 25 combinations to knit a cozy & unique Chill Chaser.
