Have you had a chance to join our ongoing Fibre Artist’s BINGO contest? Every card* wins a prize!! There are no ‘losers’ amongst the players at London Yarns. But, you may ask ... what exactly can we win??? Gooood Question!! I’d be asking the same thing. So today we will be giving you a ‘teaser’ of sorts, showing you just SOME of the grand prizes that you can win.

If you haven’t already started, there is still lots of time to play! You have until March 18th to complete a minimum of 5 squares to win your prize AND have your name entered into a draw for a Grand Prize (and, there is more than just one Grand Prize to win – so your chances are really good!).
LET’S PLAY!
Here’s how it works:
As you all know, on September 30th, 2016, London Yarns celebrated 25 years in business under the ownership of Janet and her Mom, Katy Lu.
To commemorate this milestone, we are hosting a fibre art “Bingo” of sorts. Everyone can play, (beginner to advanced) and it does not matter whether you are a hand knitter, crocheter, or machine knitter! There is a Bingo card for everyone!
Prizes will be awarded for completing multiples of 5 “squares” (or projects). The more squares completed in multiples of 5, the bigger the prize! As well, as receiving your prize for completing the squares, your name will be entered in the ballot box for a chance to win one of the several Grand Prizes! Hundreds of dollars in prizes are up for grabs!
Prizes include (but are not limited to):
Gift Certificates, Yarn, Yarn, & More Yarn, SSK Memberships, Knitting Needle & Crochet Hook Sets, Shawl Pins, Buttons, Magnifiers, Eucalan Woolwash, Mentoring Sessions, and many, many more. Several of our suppliers have also generously donated some awesome grand prizes and we will show you details of those in future emails!
How to Play:
- Simply come into the store and register for the “Bingo” of your choice:
Hand Knitter’s Bingo / Crocheters Bingo / Machine Knitters Bingo
- Bingo cards will be available in each of these arts. The registration fee for each Bingo card is $10.00 and you can play all 3 “genres” if you like!
- On each card, there are 25 different squares and each square outlines a different project.
- Whenever you finish one of the projects, bring it into the store and your card will be validated with a stamp showing that project has been completed.
The Rules are Simple:
- The Bingo game runs until March 18th, 2017. That still leaves loads of time to complete your squares.
- Complete ANY 5 squares (they don’t have to be in a row or line) on the card and you get to choose your prize from Category ‘A’ Prizes & receive your name on a ballot for one of the Grand Prize Draws.
- Complete ANY 10 squares (they don’t have to be in a row or line) on the card and you get to choose your prize from Category ‘B’ Prizes & receive your name on a ballot for one of the Grand Prize Draws.
- Complete ANY 15 or more squares (they don’t have to be in a row or line) on the card and you get to choose your prize from Category ‘C’ Prizes & receive your name on a ballot for one of the Grand Prize Draws.
The more squares completed, the bigger & more valuable your Prize!
- Grand prizes will be drawn on Saturday, April 1st, 2017.
- Each player will receive a Bingo card to take with them to help plan their projects and the original card will be kept on file here for you at the store.
- One completed project will equal one validated square. One project cannot earn more than one “stamp” on the card.

‘Mentoring”’ ... Not just for UFO’s anymore!! Now you can take a Mentoring Session (or two or three) to expand your knitting skills. If there has every been a class that we’ve offered, but didn’t work with your schedule, or one of our original Dragonpine Design Patterns that has caught your eye, but you didn’t know if you could manage it on your own ... now is the time to take advantage of our Mentoring & Skill Building Sessions! We highly encourage you to start something new, take on a new project and expand your knitting skills while under the helpful guidance of our experienced & patient teachers – Janet & Cathy.
The beauty of these sessions is that YOU CHOOSE which dates you would like to come, either the Wednesday dates or the Friday dates or you can mix and match. YOU DO NOT NEED TO COME TO EVERY SESSION OFFERED. Simply come to the ones you need to! All we ask is that you call the store to register to let us know when you will be coming. The only pre-requisite is that we need a working copy of your pattern BEFORE the session so we may familiarize ourselves with what you are tackling. Simply bring the pattern into the store and we will make a working copy for both of us.
COST: If you are coming to a single session or are coming “hit and miss” as you need us, the price will be $25.00 per session. SAVE by buying 4 sessions when you register for $100.00 and get the 5th session free!
