TAHITI by Schachenmayr
Schachenmayr Tahiti is a colourful, lightweight, “Fingering” gauge yarn that's made of cotton with just a touch of polyester. The polyester content gives Tahiti a slight stretch for beautiful knits. This machine washable yarn comes in gorgeous shades that softly fade from one to next, creating a subtly, striped fabric with seamless colour transitions. Tahiti is fantastic for many crochet or knitting projects, including delicate, airy designs like shawls or wraps. Made in Italy.

This shawl is available in 2 different sizes – Medium & Large (each size is a separate download), here are the details:
Sabine writes:
• For the medium size “sundowner” (about 150cm wingspan, 50cm at its widest point) requires 2 x 100g Schachenmayr “Tahiti” needed in 2 different colours. (= 200g in total).
Sabine writes:
• For the large (not to mention giant) “sundowner” (about 220cm wingspan, 76 cm at its widest point), 2 different colours are needed 1 x 150g and 1 x 200g Schachenmayr “Tahiti” (= 350 g in total). For the original shawl, the colours 7652 (= 150g) and 7623 (= 200g) were used.

FASHION KID LIGHT by Schachenmayr
Fashion Kid Light is a gossamer-light, lace weight, brushed mohair blend, with the added benefit of nylon for strength. One of the great qualities of mohair is its versatility. It can be worked at many different gauges, and the mohair will fill in the gaps at a loose gauge, or compress at a tighter gauge. Use this airy lovely on its own, or strand it with any other yarn to add softness and a hazy aura. It works beautiful for fine doll hair too.

CABLED MITTS ON 2-NEEDLES

These mitts are interesting to knit and will be admired by all who see them! The mitts are knit flat and then seamed using mattress stitch. The cable pattern is intricate and will give you an opportunity to learn how to keep several different patterns working alongside each other, all at the same time. We will also learn how to pick up stitches, how to increase & decrease “while keeping the pattern correct”. Choice of two cuffs styles available.

Pre-Requisite: Knowledge of Knit and Purl Stitches & familiar with cable techniques
