It's Hockey or Ringette season again! Really, let's be truthful...this means your garage or "hockey bag" dumping ground is going to get annoying all over again! It's one of my favourite things about Summer - I'm not tripping over smelly hockey bags! Calling in a Professional Organizer to help with those dumping grounds will make for a successful season.

I am sure I am not the only one that has seen a mess like this. I find this frustrating that people to not care enough about their local community that they drop the things in front of the donation bins that clearly by the signage and the size of the opening is not for these items. There is something magical about those mornings where everything goes smoothly and you greet the day with a smile. And although that is not always the case, one thing that does help is having your clothing and accessories organized and awaiting your eager morning face. When I say to people that we are Certified, they often ask, "What does that mean?"
CPOs earn their credential by proving they embody the founding principles, have the requisite experience, adhere to the BCPO Code of Ethics, and comprehend the entire body of knowledge required to pass the Board of Certification of Professional Organizers (BCPO) examination. Every 3 years we renew membership and need to have taken 45 credits in those years.... more

Are you an empty nester? When did your children move out? Yesterday, last month, or 10 years ago?
Don't worry if you said 10 years ago and you still have boxes of their things in your basement, you are not alone. It is common. However, just because your friends are "doing it" doesn't mean you need to. Call your children, ask them to come and get it or you will be donating to your local charity. If they live out of province or out of country the next time they are home, go through it and have them take what they want and get rid of the rest.... more
