Have you looked in your attic lately???? Notice the soffit insulation has been blown out by the wind. Some houses built in the 70's were wired with aluminum wires. Aluminum wiring isn't dangerous BUT when rewiring outlets, switches, or fixtures it's best to use these special wire nuts. Or better yet, have a licensed electrician take care of it.
