1997

Originally born as CUSTOM CUTS, Nicole landed in the
salon for an adventurous career at age 24. Nicole
worked in the industry for 5 years and became an
owner very quickly-inspired by wanting to be in an work
environment that was warm and friendly.

2001

Angela joined the salon as a stylist and had worked in
the industry for 2 years. The journey became evident,
this was the place that would provide a path to growth

2008

Nicole renamed the salon to ESSENSE SALON. The
influence of being partnered with a distribution
company and brand that educated her to a higher level.

2019

ESSENSE SALON expanded by doubling the salon
space to include beauty services and added the word
SANCTUARY to the narrative. Angela also became a
partner in the salon. Her experience as a EUFORA
EDUCATOR also complimented the path to growth for
ESSENSE. They brought a new vision to life.

2022

ESSENSE SALON & SANCTUARY-was nominated top
200 in SALON TODAY for customer service. Our salon 
is all inclusive of diversity with a designated private
room.

2023

WE are at a point of wanting to elevate our salon to be
more efficient and beautiful. We decided to re brand
the OPTIC of ESSENSE SALON & SANCTUARY. We
hope you love it as much as we do.
